This is a book that makes us think! We can use this book as a resource for our own study on the problems that are present in the Church these days (it has a myriad of references for further research). It is sad to see that much of what is described in the book is in a church near us or even in the one of which we are members . Even if you don't spouse the same position of the authors it is prudent to understand the path that religion is taking. I found the theme extreme relevant and I agree with the authors in the case they make against the psychologizing of the Church. We, as Christians, have what we need in the Word of God. It is sufficient for us. And that is a truth we must stick with! Definitely a great book.Product details

I must admit that this is by far one of the most tiresome texts I have ever read. Bodgan applies his narrow-minded views within psychology, theology, and an apparent void of knowledge in philosophy, which may indicate that Bodgan’s motivation are not rooted in the quest for Truth but a instead a motivation to support his ideology. He utilizes the straw man fallacy in depicting a point of view after generalizing what those Christian therapists do not necessarily hold. Reading this book may very reduce your IQ.
